Do you ever feel like you’re running on empty, no matter how much you rest? For years, I struggled with my energy levels until I realized one of the most powerful wellbeing tools was all around me: Light.

Our connection to light is so much more than just waking up with the sun. It’s a sacred practice that aligns our body, mind, and spirit with the natural rhythm of the Universe. When we honor this connection, we don’t just sleep better and feel more energized—we become a clearer channel for miracles.

In this episode, I’m joined by Andy and Katie Mant, the founders of Bon Charge. We’re discussing how to use light therapy as a spiritual practice to restore your body’s natural rhythm and raise your vibration.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

  • The spiritual secret to syncing your body with the Universe’s clock (your circadian rhythm!).
  • My simple, daily light therapy rituals for a massive energy boost and a calm nervous system.
  • How to use light to improve your sleep, balance your hormones, and elevate your mood.
  • Why your relationship with light is directly connected to your manifesting power.
  • Practical ways to get more healing light, even if you work indoors all day.

light therapy: how to boost your energy, improve your sleep, and restore your body’s natural rhythm

[00:00:00] The following podcast is a dear media production.

Hey there. Welcome to Dear Gabby. I'm your host Gabby Bernstein, and if you landed here, it is absolutely no accident. It means that you're ready to feel good and manifest a life beyond your wildest dreams. Let's get started.

Welcome back to Dear Gabby, my friends. I wanna talk about something that so many of us feel. You're doing all the right things, you're eating well, you're managing your stress, but you still feel completely drained at the end of the day. My hands are raised, both of my hands are raised. So what if I told you that a huge and often overlooked factor in your energy, your sleep, and even the health of your skin is something that's all around us.

Talking about light. This is a topic I have become personally obsessed with, and the tools my guests today have created are now a non-negotiable [00:01:00] part of my daily wellness routine. They are a true game changer. I use these tools before I go to bed. I use these tools when I'm watching a show. I use these tools when I'm cooking my dinner. I use these tools all day long.

I am so thrilled to introduce you to Andy and Katie. Matt, the husband and wife, co-founders of Bond Charge. Their company was born from their own frustrating health journey where they discovered the profound impact that modern light exposure was having on their wellbeing.

Today we are demystifying light therapy. We're going to talk about how to protect yourself from the junk light that kills your energy, and how to use beneficial light to sleep better, recover faster, and get that incredible glow. If you're ready to feel more vibrant, you are in the right place. My friends today.

Welcome to the show, Andy and Katie. I am so happy to be here with you. Your products have become a non-negotiable in my life. Thank you for your service to the world. Thank you for being here today, you guys. So my friends, you're in from Australia? We [00:02:00] are. How's New York loving it? Completely different to Australia where we're from on the west coast.

Super chilled, very beach lifestyle, where we're from. So this is a, a complete change for us. Don't tell my husband this, but he's listening. But I secretly wanna live in Australia. Do you? Yeah. I spend, what's the drawl? I, well, my best friend lives in Sydney. I spend about two weeks a year there. That's a lot considering how far you are.

Yeah. Maybe I would do a month next time. It's my vibe. It's a good place. It's the best hair and makeup you can get in the world is in Australia. It's the best shopping. True, true. Best beaches. Best fresh air, best food. Yes. I mean, what are we doing here? Okay, I might be moving. Yeah. Alright. I definitely will make my way eventually to Perth, which is where you are.

Give it a go. Yes. I have to. First, I wanna just start by you guys taking me back to the origin story of how you created Bond Charge. Oftentimes these founder stories originate from our own personal experience, and you guys have a very vulnerable and truthful story behind this brand. So, do you wanna start, Andy?

Yeah, absolutely. It, it all started for us roundabout. [00:03:00] 2011. So we're British as the more astute listener will be able to pick up, even though we live in Australia now, we moved from the UK to Australia in search of a better life, basically better weather. 'cause as we all know, the UK has terrible weather.
The worst, the worst raining all the time. Not where I wanna live now. Yeah, cross that one off your list.

And when, when we moved over, it didn't really go as planned for us because we got these amazing jobs, but our health started to suffer. We started to eat really badly and we weren't in very good sort of physical shape.

Mm-hmm. And, and mental state as well. So time went on maybe three, four years, and I personally discovered. Taking matters into my own hands when it came to getting healthy was the best remedy for me. Mm-hmm. I'd followed all the government recommendations, you know, low fat diets, cut calories, didn't work for me.

So I discovered something called a ketogenic diet back then. And I did it through going on forums at the time. 'cause this was like before Instagram. Yeah. Made lots of friends through there and [00:04:00] lost a lot of weight. And then I introduced Katie to it in around about 2016 because. We wanted to get in shape for our wedding.

So we had personal trainers. We did the really sort of astute dieting, and we started to feel amazing. We then decided that once we achieved these fantastic results, what else could we improve? What else was lacking in our lives? And we found that sleep. More so myself was really bad at the time so I could get to sleep fine, but I kept waking up in the night and it was disturbing Katie's sleep.

Yeah. And we were waking up feeling really tired. I know all about this, you know that Yeah. I have sleep trauma. That it is failure your life. It's a real problem. So anyway, I, I. Had this sort of presence in these forums where we were all talking about food and then this guy just kept dropping in and out of these forums.

This guy called Dr. Jack Cruz. And he has some really radical ideas and it's all centered around light and circadian rhythms and how light can impact our sleep and cause our energy levels to drop, give us brain fog and really sort of mentally block us [00:05:00] in terms of the way we're thinking mentally. So what I did was I went on Amazon and I bought some.

Blue light blocking glasses to try and I'd say they were hideous. Hideous, so ugly. Right? Safety goggles. Yeah. Yeah. You can imagine eight years ago what they look like. I probably had them 'cause I've been, yeah, been long The ride with you guys. Yeah, yeah. Like the really ugly yellowy looking things. Yeah.

Yeah. Those are the ones, she almost called the wedding off because of how ridiculous like this is what I'm marrying into, is this our life now Every night. Little mad lab scientist. But anyway, I put these goggles on and they were like orange red lenses and my sleep improved a little bit. I was tracking it for an AA ring at the time, and REM and deep sleep improved a little bit and I felt a bit better, but as time went on, I was like, I'm still not optimal. I'm still waking up. Maybe not as frequently so. I knew someone in an optics lab in Australia, and I took these glasses in, and you'll, you'll understand as we continue talking. I'm the science geek and she's the fashionable, clever one in, in the, in the relationship.

She's quite fashionable. Yeah, no thanks guys. So beautiful. We needed that to sort these goggles out later on, but more, more on that later. So anyway, took these down and ran them for a [00:06:00] spectrometer. Long story short, they weren't blocking in line with the science. So the science was saying it should block specific frequencies of light sleep better.

These glasses weren't. So I said to them, can you. Manufacture me a pair of. Glasses that block exactly in line with the science. And it was the second person that thought I was crazy after my wife and said, okay, well we, we'll do it, but you know, kind of what's the point. So anyway, they did these glasses, I put them on and my sleep scores went through the roof and I just felt so amazing.

How long would you wear them before you fell asleep? Maybe two hours. Two hours before? Yeah. And we actually, believe it or not, got a negative review a few months ago because someone was wearing our glasses and said that within an hour they were asleep and that was really bad. So that they fell asleep within, within an hour.

Well, that's not such a negative review, my friend. Okay. I love that review. Was h should post that? Yeah, we should. Did I think we, you should definitely post that and then. I manufactured 20 of these pairs of glasses and I sent them to some people that were wearing blue light glasses. And I said to them, you know what?

Try these glasses out. This is the science behind them. [00:07:00] We know you're wearing blue light glasses. Anyway, this isn't a plug. We haven't got a company, but I just wanna get your thoughts on this. Okay? And they all came back six to eight weeks later and just said the same thing. Our sleep scores are much better than the glasses were currently wearing.

You got to launch a company so. That was kind of how everything began for us. I love it. It's always when we want it most. Yes. That the gift arrives. True. Incredible. Incredible. How did you make the connection that the light therapy was also not just helping your sleep, but also your energy and your skin?

Because you guys are, now, you can talk about how Bond charges is absolutely pioneering this energy of the skin. Your proof of it looking at your skin. Thank you. So where was that connection? 'cause it obviously started with sleep and just getting better rest, but then how did you make the connection towards energy day type energy and skincare?

Yeah, of course. I mean, ultimately if you sleep better, you have more energy that that's state the simple fundamentals. We all know that. And also if you're sleeping better, your skin generally [00:08:00] looks better at the very basic level. Beauty, sleep, we're all familiar with that term. What we did is we kept researching further and further.

After we started the company launched the blue light blocking glasses. We continued to research and investigate light. 'cause we were, it intrigued us. We wanted to know more about it. So we knew that blocking blue light would help melatonin production. After dark and allow you to sleep better. And we kept going down the rabbit hole to find out more about light.

And through that journey we discovered how light actually impacts your skin as well. So as well as wearing blue light blocking glasses to help you sleep. Your skin has receptors in the body. That can detect the light that you're exposed to and that can impact your sleep as well. And I kind of took it more down the beauty angle to understand, well, what impact is artificial light having on the appearance of our skin, not just sleep, and learned that it actually dehydrates your skin quite severely.

You probably know if you go out in the sun during the day or spend the day at the beach afterwards, you've got a glow. Quite dry. Yeah, you're quite dehydrated. Blue light does sap the moisture out of your skin, and when it does that, it [00:09:00] then leads to a duller complexion. More fine lines and wrinkles appear.

So it was uncovering what impact blue light has on our appearance and skin, as well as the impact it has on our sleep. And then we just kept going. We were going, well, if blue light's bad, what frequency of light is. Good for our skin and beneficial and what would actually make us look younger, more vibrant and learn about red light therapy and that frequency and what that can do for our skin appearance.

And that is a whole topic in itself, in the benefits that that can do. So it was just that evolutionary, we kept learning and kept learning, kept researching the studies. Andy in particular, dove into a lot of the scientific and academic literature that was out there to uncover more about light in general.

Not just blue light and sleep, but the wider impacts it has on our wellbeing and our appearance, and then our energy and vitality as well. So. Talk to me about the skin health and the buoyancy of our skin and the plumpness of our skin and how red light benefits it. Yeah, absolutely. The fundamental basics of red light [00:10:00] therapy is it gives the cells energy, okay.

At the very basic level, if you need to understand how red light therapy works, just take that away. It is like a supercharge. Battery for your cells. It allows them to perform whatever function they ordinarily function at peak at top performance. So when it comes to skin, what that is doing is supercharging your cells in order to regenerate, repair and restore.

It allows them to produce more hyaluronic acid. Okay. Which in turn is gonna create more plumpness, more hydration from the inside out. You know, we use a lot of topical creams to try and. Create the effect of more glowing skin that's only addressing the surface level. It's not penetrating deep down into the dermis layer, right?

Injectables can achieve that. They can go deeper, but the issue with that is it's more isolated to certain areas. It's not widespread, and then you just get in hydration in certain areas. But what red light therapy does, it can penetrate through to the dermis layer and energize the cells and allowing them to.

Effectively produce what they normally [00:11:00] produce more efficiently, which will then in turn lead to a better complexion, also helps boost collagen, which then in turn reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. But at its fundamental level as well, near infrared relaxes the muscle. So if you think what happens when you relax muscle?

It then allows your skin to smooth this contracted muscle is going to pull on the skin, which is gonna create that C creepiness, those fine lines, those wrinkles. So if you can just get the muscle to relax by itself, which is what near infrared does in default, then it will make the skin appear more smooth and and less fine lines and wrinkles.

Are are appeared. Right, because the muscle tension is so much of the issue that we have. Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. So, and even I've noticed when I use the bond charge, red light is, I've noticed dep puffiness. Yes. It's almost like drainage. It is. It's the lymphatic system. So it works on that. It's the lymphatic drainage.

Well, absolutely. Yeah, because again, it's just allowing the body and the cells to. Work more efficiently. Mm-hmm. And so your lymphatic system is ultimately your waste [00:12:00] disposal system in the body. And how that works is the lymphatic vessels. Contract rhythmically to sort of push the waste outta the body.

Hmm. And what red light therapy does is encourage those muscles to contract more efficiently, more consistently. And then it's pushing out that waste, which then reduces that puffiness, that swelling and, and ultimately the inflammation that we wake up sometimes feeling really puffy. It's that inflammation and that buildup.

I love doing it in the morning. It just, yes, the best, especially, I mean, part of my. My prep, if I'm doing makeup, is my makeup artist has her bond charge life. Yeah. Love that. Love that with her. And she puts it on my face. I have to introduce you guys to her. She's obsessed with red light. Yes, yes. Obsessed with red, but is so versatile.

That's that's the beauty of it. So versatile. And should we be putting any kind of skincare on our skin before we use our red light? No, it's best not to. So just completely bears it. Completely bear. And then just be conscious of what you're applying after using it as well. And that will vary. For everyone.
Okay. Because everyone has different skin. The level of sensitivity is different for different people.

Active ingredients can be a problem [00:13:00] after the session if you are sensitive. Mm-hmm. So it's best to have it on bare skin. It's less to penetrate through. You don't want any layers or any barriers. Okay.

That sounds good. So you want it to be completely bare. It'll penetrate through as deep as it can. And then just be conscious, just, just trial and error afterwards. Okay. To find what works for you. Try a small area first, but be conscious of active ingredients. Directly after a session because your skin can be a bit more sensitive.

Okay. Really valuable. Okay, beautiful. So let's talk about something that we're all guilty of. Mm. And it's staring at our phones before we go to bed. Mm-hmm. And you guys call this junk light. Yes. Okay. How do we avoid the junk light? How do we save ourselves in the John Clay? It's easier said than done, but once you know how and you take some sort of really simple steps to eliminate it and manage it, it can go away pretty quickly. I guess the first thing I wanna say is that we shouldn't demonize blue light. It all comes down to context. So blue light at the right time of day is beneficial for us. Okay, so if I take it back a little bit and talk about ancestrally, how we [00:14:00] evolved.

So we evolved hundreds of thousands of years ago with something called a circadian rhythm. So it's like a body clock and it's located in the center of our brain. Now that. Body clock was entrained by the rising and setting of the sun. Now, why that's important is the body clock then signals to our hormonal system what hormones to suppress and to release at different times of the day.

So for instance, when we entrained our circadian rhythms hundreds of thousands of years ago, we would watch the sunrise and that sunrise would. Allow cortisol, dopamine, and serotonin to be produced in the body. And that's fantastic for us during the day because without those three hormones and neurotransmitters, we wouldn't be able to be active during the day, so we shouldn't demonize blue light shouldn't demonize cortisol in that respect for during the day.

Now, as the day went on and the sun started to set, the blue light started to reduce, and that would send a message to our brain and our body clock. Now is the time to reduce cortisol and to start synthesizing melatonin, which is our sleep [00:15:00] hormone. And as the sun and the campfire came on with all the red and orange lights, we went into this parasympathetic state and enabled ourselves to go into this really restful deep restorative sleep.

Hmm. Now the issue we've got in today's world is something called junk light. Now this is light from artificial sources. So this could be from your computer, your. Phone, your fridge light, your appliances, your overhead lighting, anything really from a digital source. We like to call them artificial suns. So our circadian rhythm cannot tell the difference between artificial light and sunlight.

So when we come home after dark and we start scrolling our phone or watching TV, or preparing a meal under artificial light, that's telling our body clock that it's midday because it's the same frequency of light of the midday sun. So instead of producing melatonin. We start to produce more cortisol, so we start to feel wired.

Maybe we're not getting to sleep fast enough. Maybe we're waking up in the night a lot. Maybe we're not getting good REM and deep sleep, and we're waking up in the morning [00:16:00] feeling groggy and tired and not in a good sort of mindset. So when you look at blue light, which we term junk, light, it's artificial sources not from the sun.

So during the day. We see it from computer screens, TV screens from our phones, and then after dark. We also see it from these sources as well. But what we need to do is we need to manage that artificial light after dark by wearing blue light blocking glasses that block the frequencies that are telling our body clock that it's daytime.

We need to fix the lighting around us so our lights and light bulbs in our house need to not admit. Blue light, a more red orange light that our ancestors would've seen in front of the campfire. We need to maybe turn our phones onto night shift mode, so I know I need to do that more often. Yeah, it makes it, it makes it like block the blue light when you Yeah.

Until 2018, we thought that according to the peer reviewed science, that the body clock was only impacted through our eyes. So wearing blue light blocking glasses was fundamentally the best idea to create physiological darkness and eliminate junk. Light [00:17:00] after dark. But then a study came out to basically ruin all of that and say, yeah, and it found that there was little tiny body clocks in all of our skin cells.

So we could be sat there with blue light blocking glasses on, scrolling our phone with the phone's blue light, hitting our thyroid, damaging our hormone and production and sleep regardless of whether we're wearing, yeah, blue light glasses or not. So yeah, in terms of fixing the junk light you want to be having.

Circadian friendly lighting in your house. You want to be wearing blue light blocking glasses if you're using any screens after sunset and during the day. You, if you're working inside under artificial junk light, you need to be getting regular sun breaks so your eyes can see the correct frequencies of light and sink your hormonal system to the rising sun.

How long would a sun break be? Maybe five, five to 10 minutes? Yeah. Really depends as well. 'cause if it's cloudy. You want to have longer. If it's full sun, then maybe a few minutes, but the big thing here is. With a sun break. Don't go outside with sunglasses on because then you're gonna [00:18:00] create junk light, and so you're just walking around outside just taking in the light.

You're not looking at the sun. Don't look at the sun. Yeah. We don't, we don't want anyone going blind, but yeah, just walking around. Yeah, just walking around when you wake up. Okay. That's beautiful. Well said Andy. Well said. That was really a great explanation. That brings me to the pimp mat. Mm. Which I. Love it is so restored.

It's my favorite. It is. I lo I do a really great nons sleep deep rest. Yeah. Meditation. Using the pimp mat. I also will oftentimes sit at it at my desk. I have two Bengal cats. They're extraordinary. They look like beautiful. Wow. They're Jimmy Blue and Lily and both girls. And I put the pimp mat under my feet and my desk.

And so when it's like, particularly in the winter when it's cold. Mm-hmm. I put my feet on it. My little girl, Lily, the baby one who doesn't really like eat that much and she's really underweight. She'll just sit there. She's drawn to it. She just lies on that mat. I'm not even kidding you. For like eight hours, she won't.

Wow. She won't move. She'll just do her whole day of sleep [00:19:00] on that, on the mat. I would love that. Her in particular. Because she's so skinny. She needs extra warmth. Yeah, true. But they're drawn to it. Totally. We, we get so much content from our customers that their dogs, their cat show. Exactly. That. Exactly.

Yeah. They intuitively know. Yeah. Well, you know, it's really, it really is so soothing. It is. So talk to me about the Pimp Mat. It's actually one of my favorite ones. I'm glad you love it too. So. Hemp is pulse electromagnetic frequency therapy, and how it works is it takes certain frequencies that are found in nature and it pulses those through into your body to induce a state of wellbeing.

Yeah, or a state of calm or a state of mindfulness depending what frequency you choose to dial into. Basically how it works is the body is always looking for a way to conserve energy. And it does that by mirroring the energy in the environment around it. If you think about it, if you walk into a really hectic mall or supermarket, sometimes you feel a bit angry and pent up because of the energy in the room.

That's [00:20:00] definitely what you feel it. Yeah, we all do. I hate supermarkets for that reason. It's because your body's mimicking the frequencies in the environment around it to conserve energy. But you can use that to your advantage if you pulse. Beneficial frequencies into your body. Your body will naturally try and mimic the frequency that it's receiving and fall into that rhythm.

So if you take, say, delta waves and pass those through to your body, delta waves are what your brain is producing when you're in sleep. So if your body is trying to then mirror the frequency that's coming through off the pimp mat. You will ultimate relax and fall into a deep state of sleep. Mm. Equally, if you're looking to boost creativity or boost focus, or enhance your meditative practice, you can choose other frequencies to dial into and pass those through into the body, but there's no sensation.

That's the thing that a lot of people don't understand about pimp. They're expecting it to vibrate or there to be a sensation. I start vibrating anyway when I meditate. My whole body starts to really, yeah. You, you've nailed the deep practice then. Yeah. But ultimately that's how [00:21:00] it works and the, probably the one that people are most familiar with is grounding.

When you take your shoes and socks off. Yeah. You stand on the earth, you're connecting to the earth's magnetic field, the human resonance and your body falls in sync with. The Earth's natural rhythm and therefore you become calmer, more centered inflammation reduces because you're connecting with nature and ultimately that is all a pemp is, is dialing into a certain frequency to get your body to mirror that frequency and fall into that state and then bring about a certain sense of being. Yeah. I mean, these are big parts of my meditation. Yes. Routine. I'm gonna claim here that I think I am the starter of the trend of meditating with red lights. I think you're, I think you're claim it aren't I, I'm, I really do think I am. I think I've told some of the trendsetters about it and then they started really doing it and Yep.

It is so deep. If I'm sitting on a chair with my pimp mat Yep. And my red light in front of me. I'll just go deeper faster. You will. And it is so extraordinary and these two products combined, particularly the red light with [00:22:00] the meditation. Yeah. But I think the pimp mats great for that. Nons sleep, deep rest meditation.

Yes. When you're gonna lie back and just really try to get a reset. Usually midday, I do my big meditation. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. With my cat. Yeah. This is what I combine, my red light, my pimp mat, and my cat purring. Love that. Oh wow. What a habit Stack. Great vibrations. It is such a habit stack. The cat purring part I think is probably the most beneficial.

Truly, you guys have to like manufacture the sound. Yeah, the noise. Yeah. It's also her body on my chest vibration of it, so she's vibrating with me. It's incredible. Yeah. I can walk out of 30 minutes of that and I'm a new person. True. The thing is wellness and manifestation are so interlinked, right? Yeah.
'cause how you feel and how you think, and that's gonna be what you attract. Yeah. So if you look after your mental wellbeing, physically, emotionally. You're gonna attract what it is you want to attract. Yes. Because you could be doing all the red light and all the pen and all the things, but if you're thinking all the wrong thoughts Exactly.

And you're not attuned to your [00:23:00] spiritual world in whatever form that means for you, then you're gonna still feel wacky or you'll feel good in the moment, and then you'll go right back out of alignment. A hundred percent. And so I think that. Oftentimes when people are new to spiritual practice, a lot of these tools are like a gateway because yeah, the pimp can really ground them and they can almost feel like, oh wow, I think I'm meditating.

I don't know that I am, but I am. Right? Yeah. Or the red light might ground them and make them feel more centered, and so I do appreciate Bond charge in all the tools that you have offered because it does feel like an. Easier access route than some of the just like, okay, guys, sit down and do a meditative practice.

Great. And I have a visualization meditation that I use in my app that's called the light bath meditation. Nice. And I do it lying on the pen mat. Oh, fantastic. And actually, it'd be kind of interesting to do it with the red light too, because it's actually physical and then visual. Mm-hmm. You could combine the two, but it's really all about recharging and letting the light cleanse you.

And so that meditation's one of my favorite meditations that I've ever made. And it's something I use regularly. I just guide myself through it, but I [00:24:00] visualize this energy of light clearing my energy field. And so there could be something really cool about combining those two with the red light and the visualization.

Yeah, absolutely. And it's all about regulating your nervous system, right? It's if you are calm and more centered, you're gonna be more open to receiving. Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean, you know, I've made a commitment to myself to show up for life with the best energy I can. Yeah. And I've had a really busy week this week, and I literally have, have had some, I don't know how I do this every time, but I stack the most important things into the same week.

Yeah. It's just sort of the nature of abundance, right? Yeah. You got the things that you. We wished for, sometimes we have to recognize the privilege of manifesting them. Of course. And so I'm, this week I was feeling a little under the weather. My kid had a cold and then I was like, you know, I need to recharge fast.

And so I used all my tools. I used my red light, I used the pump, I used the specific meditations and I. All of these little habits that we stack can just completely recharge me, and I made it through most of this week's. This is the second to last day of the big stuff that we're doing. Fantastic. [00:25:00] It's a blessing.

Yeah. So we gotta have our arsenal of tools, I believe a hundred percent. You do? Yeah. Yeah. You can't just think yourself positive some days. Sometimes you just physically need little boost. I'm thinking about. Creating. I have a room, it's a guest room that probably has guests in it for maybe like a week out of the year.

It's on the third floor of my house. It is my old office. And it's this big space, almost like apartment, you know, just sitting there with a big bed in it and I'm like, this is bullshit. I need to do something with this room. And so I keep joking with my son. He's six and a half, but he loves biohacking.

Mummy biohacking loves. I love that. He loves that. He loves the, he's starting young. Oh yeah. He'll do. Sometimes he'll do the boots. Like the compression boots with me. Yeah. He's really tiny, so they'll somehow like slightly compressive, but, but we've been talking about maybe making this like the biohacking rip, do, do it and it's gonna be like tricked out with all the re Oh my God.

Take some photos. I wanna see it. Exactly. Exactly. And I need it because I want that space that I can go to and bring it down. A hundred percent. It's your little sanctuary. It's your ha Yeah, it's, it's a designated space in your wide, okay, [00:26:00] this is my sign. I gotta go. Finally, just do, do someone like, it was like a year ago, they're like, have you made your B room yet?

I'm like, no, not yet. So if somebody's listening today and they're feeling really, really tired and they think their light diet, as you guys talk about, might be the cause, what is the single most impactful first step that they can take to start to take advantage of these tools? Yeah, it's, I, I think I always like to start with something free.

You know, we, yeah, we've been blessed. With, with nature and the sun. Yeah. So when you get up in the morning, don't look at any light until you've seen that sun, and ideally that's the sun rise. But if it's before or after, just be outside and just embrace that rising sun or sunlight hitting your eyes. As the first light you see during the day, and, and the reason you want to do that is if you roll over and look at your phone or you roll over, turn on your normal house lights, you are gonna be telling your body clock that it's midday immediately upon waking.

So you're gonna miss out on the serotonin, you're gonna miss out on the dopamine, you're gonna miss out on all the other beautiful neurotransmitters that are gonna make you feel amazing during that part of the [00:27:00] day. So I would say single. Handedly. That is the best thing you can do. Just a couple of minutes outside though, Andy right outside.

Yeah. Yeah. You can't just look out the window. No. 'cause then you create junk light because it's filtering the sunlight. Yeah. Okay. So that's super important. And then the second most important thing would be blocking the harmful frequencies of blue and a little bit of green light after dark.

And to do that you have to wear orange, red lens, blue light blocking glasses. I think that will solve 90% of. People's energy issues as in, in association with light. Okay. Absolutely. Beautiful. Okay, great. So for the people listening and they wanted to start off this journey, maybe the blue light blocking glasses is a nice little entry point.

Yes. Whereas some of our hardcore listeners, they'll go be getting those pimp adss. Oh yeah. And all of our listeners can go find everything@bondcharge.com. And the bond charge team has been so generous in offering our audience 15% off your order with code GB 15. And as you can hear, I'm the biggest fan of these products.

I'm gonna go trick out [00:28:00] my biohacking room with everything bond charge. Oh, that makes me so happy. And again, that's bond charge.com, and the code is GB 15. And so on the show we talk a lot about raising our vibration and clearing our energy from. Scientific perspective though, how does managing our light exposure or using a tool like Red Light panels actually impact our body's energetic frequency and our capacity to feel spiritually connected?

We've talked about this a little bit, but is there anything you wanted to add to that? Yeah, I think it's good to go into the sort of scientist how red light therapy actually does work as Okay. The level, because that's. How we raise our vibration using those therapeutic frequencies. Okay, that's very true.

And you have a really good way of explaining this. I'll hear it. So red light therapy has to be within the therapeutic ranges. So 630 to 660 nanometers is the visible red light, and then 830 to 880 is. Invisible near infrared. Mm-hmm. Now, once you've got those frequencies and you start shining them on your body, it all comes down to creating a more [00:29:00] energy efficient system in our mitochondria.

So the way this works is, is through something called electron chain transport. Now this is our body's four stage process to turn water, food, light into energy. Now it's a lot of people always think it's just food and water, but actually light plays a fundamental role. But what happens is when we're inflamed or around.

Lower vibrational energy, we start to increase something called nitric oxide. In this process, in our mitochondria and nitric oxides good in various situations, in so much that it uses oxygen to help neutralize the inflammation. But what that does is it takes away the oxygen. At that cellular level to start producing a TP, which is our energy.

Yeah. So our energy system becomes very misaligned and very inefficient. Think of it as putting the wrong petrol in the car. It, it's not gonna work very well. And what these therapeutic frequencies of red light seem to do, and what the studies are telling us is that they react with nitric [00:30:00] oxide.

Neutralize the reaction, free up more oxygen for something called cytochrome C oxidase, which is at the fourth phase of energy transport to produce more energy. Now, when we produce more energies, our cells start to thrive and vibrate at the levels of nature intended Now. The reason this doesn't happen under artificial light is because in the modern day LEDs, we've stripped out all the red light and just replaced it with blue light.

And blue light isn't as good as creating energy efficiency in our mitochondria. Mm. So ancestrally, we would've lived outside and we would've had access to blue light and red light from the sun, and we would've vibrated. How nature intended. Yeah, so now, 'cause we're beings that live inside almost all the time now.

We bring this red light therapy into our practices in the form of red light therapy devices and that then produces more energy efficiency and the mitochondria and allows us to, it makes a lot of sense. Yeah. Beautiful. You guys are on a mission. We are. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. We dream big. You do dream big. Yeah, I [00:31:00] can tell.

See the vision. Yeah. Yeah. But also it's working and I'm a testament to that. It's really working. I wanna make sure everybody listening is quite inspired to go further with this journey because it is a habit stack. Mm-hmm. That has huge impact. Quickly, immediately you see immediate results. Yeah. You get off that pimp.

You feel better. You use the red light, you feel better, your skin looks better. Mm-hmm. These tools work. I will testify. You wear the blue light. I have to say I don't wear my blue light glasses enough. I'm gonna start, I, everything that's happening here today is just jump starting me again. There you go.

I'm gonna be wearing those blue light glasses. I've gotta probably put them in like every drawer of my house. I don't forget that. I'm definitely gonna send you a video of my biohacking room. And so everyone listening here can go to bond charge.com, and the Bond Charge team is giving us 15% off your order with Code GB 15, and I highly recommend these products.

I am the biggest fan. When my team said we could interview you, I was so excited because I wanted to get nerdy about it with Andy and then get [00:32:00] beautifying about it with Oh, I love that. Yes. So here we are. And so again, these simple changes can make such a huge difference in your life, everybody. So go to bond charge.com and use Code GB 15 to get 15% off.

I love you guys. It's so good to be with you. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Honestly, we're honored. Yeah, well, listen, honored. It's so much fun. It it, it's so much fun. And we're all on the same journey and the same path. Yes. To just helping people feel more grounded and I'm, I'm really grateful that these tools exist.

Thank you, and I'm grateful for you too. Thank you.
