the ultimate glow up: skincare, soul healing & self love

[00:00:00] The following podcast is a dear media production. You know, if I was hating myself every day crawling outta my skin every day, then maybe other people would if I could somehow channel that pain. And it just so happened that my background's in biomedical and pharmaceutical science. Mm-hmm. Not an accident.

Not an accident. No. When I was younger, I just thought it was a coincidence. But now that I've done mm-hmm. You know, all my, in my spiritual journey, I realize that there are no coincidences in life. And so I believe that everything. That I've been through in this lifetime has led me to this path. And it's also, you know, I figured, you know, if I could create formulations that will help other people feel more confident and more fearless in their skin, then my pain would have been worth it.

Hey there. Welcome to Dear Gabby. I'm your host Gabby Bernstein, and if you landed here, it is absolutely no accident. It means that you're ready to. Feel good and manifest a life beyond your wildest dreams. Let's get [00:01:00] started.

Today's guest is my new friend, Nicolas Travis. He's the founder of Allies of Skin, a skincare brand on a mission to make beauty more human and help you feel good in your own skin. I'm obsessed with the product, but I'm also obsessed with this person. His story's absolutely beautiful. We're gonna discuss self-esteem and confidence in an abundance mindset, and of course, skincare tips because I'm in that stage of life where I'm obsessed with anything skincare as I think we should be from 20 onward. But here I am 45.

This episode came about because I'm just really obsessed with allies of skin and they're multip peptide, growth factor serum, and it's a formula that's so next level that I was like, we gotta have this conversation on the podcast because it's lifting and it's sculpting and it's firming and the results are clinically proven to deliver this bouncy, plumpier, tighter skin.

And I think that the word. Bouncy is actually the best way I would describe it. Bouncy. [00:02:00] It's gonna reduce that sagging. So we're gonna hook you guys up now that Nicolas is joining us today. He's giving us a really beautiful offer for everybody that's listening and you can get a free deluxe growth Factor Serum a $50 value when you spend $130 or more.

So you can go to allies of skin.com and use code Dear Gabby, and claim your free Deluxe Growth Factor Serum with. An order of $130 or more, you're gonna get a free deluxe growth Factor serum, which is valued at $50. So that's code. Dear Gabby, you can know D-E-A-R-G-A-B-B-Y, and your skin and your future are gonna thank you after listening to this episode.

So I am. Really, really proud right now to introduce you to, like I said, my new friend. The moment that he walked into the studio, I just felt his energy and his bright light, and it's just really wonderful to have you with me, Nicolas, I love your presence already so much. Thank you, Gabby. This really feels like home already.

It felt like we were meant to meet. I think that that's actually such a great reflection for me because I want people to feel [00:03:00] at home when they meet me. So thank you for reflecting that back. No, thank you for holding the space. Yes. So you have such a beautiful founder story. I think so many founders, when they come to their mission-driven brands always have this background of the why.

The why behind it. Not just, okay, I wanna create a product that's gonna be revolutionary, but there's a personal touch to it. And so I'd love to just begin there just to get this incredible story and as much as you wanna share Yeah. Of why behind the brand. So when I was 19, I had a really severe accident.

I smashed my face and I needed to have reconstructive surgery. I picked what I thought was a good surgeon, but he ended up butchering my face. So I had multiple infections. I had necrosis where the infection was eating the flesh on my skin. So at holes in my face, it was after many failed surgeries and a failed suicide attempt that I needed to see a therapist.

My therapist said, okay, let's assume you have to be here. Let's make a list of all the things you want to accomplish by the time you're 30. What does that list look like? [00:04:00] And it was then that I realized. You know, if I was hating myself every day crawling outta my skin every day, then maybe other people would, if I could somehow channel that pain.

And it just so happened that my background's in biomedical and pharmaceutical science. Mm-hmm. Not an accident. Not an accident. No. When I was younger, I just thought it was a coincidence. But now that I've done mm-hmm. You know, all my, in my spiritual journey, I realized there are no coincidences in life.

And so I believe that everything. That I've been through in this lifetime has led me to this path. And it's also, you know, I figured, you know, if I could create formulations that will help other people feel more confident and more feel this in their skin, then my pain would have been worth it. Ah, my pain would've been worth it.

Yeah. I think that's actually such a common thread between so many founder stories, including mine, is that we find the purpose in our pain and we pursue a career path that's going to help others find their own alchemy as a result of our journey. Yeah, and our experience, and you actually [00:05:00] said that you've gained so much self-confidence along the way, and that's such a huge brand mission as well.

Honestly, Gabby, it's like a muscle you have to train. Yeah. Just like how you have to, you go to the gym regularly. Yep. The emotional, spiritual muscle you really have to work on every single day. Be it your prayer, be it your meditation, whatever your spiritual practice is, it's really like that. And I don't think healing is really linear.

I think there are certain years that you feel like you're on top of the wall, and then there are certain days where you don't even want to get out of it. Yeah. And it's moments like that that you forget. Like your sauce, and I think it's moments like that, that you realize, hey, we're all souls on a human journey.

Yeah. And I had to figure out over the last like 16, 17 years what my human journey is. Oh, wow. Okay. So you mentioned you have the strong spiritual foundation, which I know just even at face value one, just from following you, but also just the moment you walked in, like I mentioned, the presence, the energy, [00:06:00] it's something that's either on or off.

Mm-hmm. Yours is on. Mm-hmm. What do you feel was the through line for you to establish that connection? I think I hit rock bottom. Yeah. Bottom's a good thing. I think bottom bottoms a really, really great thing. 'cause there's no way to go by up, right? Yep. And I think when you're on your knees, and I remember when I was going through that suicide attempt, I was trying to find a light and I remember it was just all dark.

And I heard this voice like, not yet, not yet. And I, and then I came, I, you know, came back and then I just thought, oh. What do I do now? Yeah. So that was my rock bottom. Hmm. And that's when I started seeking for something more or seeking something. Bigger than me. I found a course in Miracles. Yes. And that has literally changed my life.

Yes. And so I've been practicing that since I was like 25. Wow. 5 37. So, so you've been doing the daily practices? Yeah. Yeah. I've done it, I mean, multiple years in row, not multiple years. That's the light that is in this room. [00:07:00] I love, I love it. It really changed my life. Oh, mg. Okay. So Nicolas, just for the listener who's not familiar with the course, but if you've read any of my books, you know about a course of miracles most likely.

But the course is a metaphysical text that really teaches us to transform fear into love and to recognize that only love is real. Yeah. And as a student of, of course, myself, I think that. The repetition of the mental reconditioning of choosing to see the world through the lens of love, and not to overshadow the experiences that we're having, but to move through them with that miracle mindset.

Absolutely, and I think. We forget that we're all main in God's image. Mm-hmm. Or whatever God you choose to believe in. And I think we forget that and I think we forget how powerful we are. We do. And I think in every lifetime we souls aspire to go back to that light. Yeah. I actually love it so much that I have a couple of [00:08:00] lessons tattooed.

So I have light lessons. Wait, which ones? Which ones? I'm so interested. There is nothing Fear. Yes. One that's a good tattoo. Yep. I have. I will there be light, which is I think less than 73. Yep. So those are my two favorites. It's just like remembering that there's really nothing to fear and just like finding a light in every situation.

Yep. I have one in my Sunday daily reminder in my phone. What's your favorite? The light has come, I forgive the world. I see. That is the lesson that shows up every Sunday. I think 11:00 AM 11. 11 or something. I said it for probably a decade now. I. Wow. Yeah. That's so beautiful. Yeah. Another favorite of my is I Am As God created Me.

Yeah. That one is, that one went really deep for me. Yep. Yeah. There's the thing that's so beautiful about the text of a Course in Miracles, and it's a channeled text, so it's channeled by spirit channeling Jesus and really coming back to say, this is. What love really means. This is what the biblical text was meant to be.

Mm-hmm. Not a [00:09:00] fear-based text. Mm-hmm. But a love-based text. And what I find so fascinating about it is, first of all, it's beautiful to do the daily practices, but you can dip in and open your heart just by opening a page. Absolutely. Yeah. When I. And sometimes stuck. I just say a prayer, and then I flip through the Yep.

The dates, you know, you just, yep. You just close your eyes and you just flip. And I always find mm-hmm. The prayer that I need. Oh goodness. Okay. Well, it's working because the thing that's beautiful is that we recognize when we start to follow this path that we're miracle workers. We recognize that's our real job.

Mm-hmm. And so those entrepreneurs in the world who actually identify as miracle workers are the ones that will not only. Be in a higher service no matter what they're doing. Yeah. Like in your case, skincare. Yeah. Which is extraordinary high service here, given the mission behind your work, but it'll also be carried by God.

Right. So I think that the successes that you're already having are just like fraction of what's gonna keep coming. You're very young too, but. Because there's so much God within this message. So I mean, let's go there. [00:10:00] Actually, I love the allies of skin Core value is this. Have nothing to fear. Yeah. Well, it's based, based, based upon that text.

Yes. Another course. It's so good. Based on their course, though. It's so good. And we love and live next to our competitors in an infinitely abundant universe, remembering that there's more than enough room for all of us to live our dreams. I mean. My brother. It's so beautiful. Thank you for seeing that. Yes.

Listen, I wanna talk about the peptides too, but all I wanna see right now is this beautiful spiritual man in front of me, but the skincare is my thrill. This brand mission is helping people feel really empowered in their skin, and so I. What do you do other than the course, right? Other than being this like profound miracle worker that you are to really support yourself with rebuilding that self-esteem.

Because you said earlier, you know, course of miracles is like an unlearning mm-hmm. Of the fear. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So in addition to the course, what else are you working to undo? Any fear-based beliefs around self-esteem? Yeah, so there was a profound moment when I was in Bhutan in the mountains in December, 2023, and I [00:11:00] was.

Climbing a mountain and I was at the peak and I saw this huge oak tree and, and the tree was like hugged me. I was like, okay, so I've never hugged a tree before. So I hugged a tree and it spoke to me. It said, you're not your face. I. You're not your money, you're not your body. You're not who you know be nothing so that you can have everything.

And I just felt this immense sense of peace. And I knew I was supposed to receive that message because up until then I was always sort of quote unquote chasing because I also, as a teenager, encountered really severe trauma. And also when I was growing up, I grew up with a really abusive father. So there were two situations that help shape the person that I am today.

The first is when I was nine, so my father was really controlling, really like. Like people asking for his permission to do things. So when I was nine, he caught me eating toast without his permission. So he spread butter over my palms and put it over an open flame.

So I [00:12:00] was burned from a really young age just for eating, and I told myself that I would work really hard so I never have to justify my existence. And then when I was 12, he MDL bank accounts and left. So I worked. Since I was 15, I was given nothing. I made everything. And I guess in this lifetime, if you look at the skin, if you look at.

How I was burned from a really young age. I think. I guess I was already like alchemizing, certain mixtures to just, 'cause it was so embarrassing being a kid, going to school, like you're trying to cover everything up. 'cause you don't, you don't want any attention, you don't want people to ask you what happened cause you're, you know, when you grow up. Abuse. You just kind of feel like maybe there's something wrong with you, which is why you're not loved. Mm. You just didn't think that love was the default factory setting that everybody should have. Right. Or everybody should grow up with. Right. So I had to kind of undo a lot of those things.

Yeah. And you know, I reached a certain point in my life where I thought if I had a brand. That I could be proud of or a career that I could be proud of will make me happy. Yeah. I thought if I had a global business, it [00:13:00] would make me happy. I thought if I raise money and we raised a big round last year, it will make me happy.

I thought I had celebrities, using my products will make me happy. I have all the above and then some. Yeah, and I realized I wasn't happy and I don't remember what that oak tree told me, which is that nothingness is that letting go of that burden of self. And that's the reminder that I tell myself all the time because if we think about like.

What manifestation is, and you know, this, it's so trendy right now on, on social media, so trendy to talk about, you know, manifestation and, and whatever it is. But the real crux of it is really just like. Knowing the joy of full surrender and realizing that you already are everything and manifestation is not coming from a place of lack.

Yes. And not being like, oh, if I get the house or the job at the partner, whatever it is that we chase after, it'll make me happy. It's literally feeling so powerful. Even if you have like $10 to your name, that's when the magic starts to happen. Yeah. So that's the thing that I have to remind myself. That's the place I really wanna go back to, that [00:14:00] nothingness, that void.

I think you're there. You think so? Yeah, I really do. Of course, we're always on the journey. Right? Right, right. But when I say I think you're there, what I wanna reflect back to you is the full embodied knowing. Mm-hmm. That you are a spirit, having this human experience that that nothingness is real. Yeah.

You're fully integrated in what you know. This is obviously testament to your trauma recovery, to your, yeah. Courts and miracles to your spiritual practice, but also to your soul. Right? Your soul came here to remember love. And you know, when we go through trauma, as extrem as that is, and when you think about the little, Nicolas and I have my own trauma stories too.

I understand. We get to that like pain place. Yeah. But now I see only light. Thank you. Thank you for seeing that. Mm-hmm. Some days I guess I. I don't see that. And I think because of how I grew up, especially with the accident and especially also being in a beauty industry, [00:15:00] you start developing body dysmorphia.

Hmm. Right. You start, yeah, totally. Being like, oh, is this large pore I have to fix? Or this wrinkle I have to fix and whatever. And you, you start chasing, and it was very interesting because talking about the skin, honestly, the success of this growth factor serum, we launched it in Q3 of 2023, and it kind of took a life of its own.

We sold out, it's $188 term. So by no means is it the most expensive, but it's definitely not accessible by mm-hmm. By any sense of, of the work. We sold out seven times. We have a 12,000 wait list. Like we literally, whoa. We have every celebrity just like, yep. Like loving it because we really see the results.

But actually the story was, I discovered growth factors as a skin regenerative, active when I was going through my infections and necrosis because my doctors told me then. Hey, you really have to take care of your skin because if you don't, we won't have any options to fix and heal those scars or those dents and from a necrosis.

Okay. That's when I started looking at skin regenerative [00:16:00] science, so I kind of created that serum for myself. Totally, and I guess now I understand now as on a spiritual level when you're in service. Then the universe will provide, we'll show you. We'll show you the where to go and what to do. Where to go.

Exactly. That's my favorite. Yeah. Where would you have me go? What would you have? What would you have me do? Me do? And what would have me, me say and to who say, and to whom. Yeah. I love you so much. Okay. Wait. I wanna go from this to also really interested in what is Growth Factor Serum for the listener right from here.

So I, I literally obsessed with you. I wanna be your best friend. I love Girl Factor so much because. A body and all skin naturally produces it. If you think about how, let's say you have a cut, and even if you don't apply anything to the cut, it heals itself after a few days. So a body produces growth factors in times of injury for wound healing, right?

So it's a beautiful concept that we kind of bottle that up. So in layman's term, when you use a serum that contains growth factors with the right percentages, you'll start to see increased collagen [00:17:00] production. You'll start to see, you know, lifting. Firmer skin. You start bouncy, start to seeing bouncy, juicy skin and you'll also start to see skin that's a bit smoother.

'cause it helps to proliferate new cells. Yes. Which is really what we want because that's our cell production decreases after 20, or collagen production decreases after 20 also. So there's a lot of things that this serum helps to kickstart. I kind of think of this serum as like the personal trainer for your skin cells.

Yep. You know, it really just. Makes your skin just healthier, stronger. So you can use it around the eye area, you can use it around the neck area. And it was very interesting because we did a consumer study. As you know right now, there's a lot of weight loss drugs that are very popular and people are either doing it or microdosing it, but there are certain effects of.

Rapid weight loss that shows up in the skin. Yeah. Ozempic face. Yep. Yeah, so we've tested it on people who are on those weight loss drugs and a hundred percent reported significant lifting. [00:18:00] So we're gonna publish that study really, really soon. That's major. Yeah. So it's been very fascinating because I think we launched it in 2023, where people really talking about growth factors, but now all of a sudden people are asking about exosomes.

Yep. Growth factors. So I think it's that moment and people are starting to realize. Hey, my skin's actually sagging. Like I look great right now, but my skin's really sagging because they've lost a lot of weight in a very short period of time. Yes, yes, yes. And so in terms of exosomes, is it similar to exosome?

No. Yeah, so I. Essentially exosomes are transport vesicles. So the delivery systems, they, depending on how they're extracted, they contain vitamins, some growth factors, a lot of nutrients, a lot of amino acids, and they basically help your skin regenerate itself. But the thing with exosomes is nobody really knows what's really in those exosomes.

Yeah. Where they come from, but I can tell, yeah, where they come from. For example, even if they take it from like plans, then. Does it truly deliver the kind of results totally. That you're looking for? And I [00:19:00] also like to say that even though this serum has growth factors maxed out, it's not just growth factors in the formula.

Growth factors are great, but it's not, I. Like the silver bullet that we all think it is. Growth factors are not so great for like fading moles or dark spots. They're not great. They, they can't treat acne. So it's very important to know that it's not the be all end all, even though sometimes we talk as if it's the be all end.

All right. Just wanted to put it out there. So if you have moles concerns, if you different products like me, please use different products. Don't buy this by treat. I love that. Those concerns first. Yeah. Yeah. So if you're wanting firmer skin plumpier skin. Building collagen. Yeah. Regenerating the cells. Yes.

Yes. Mm-hmm. Go for the serum. If you are, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. If you do microneedling, if you do lasers, if you do chemical peels, remember in office people, doctors often use growth factors after micro. That's right. I'll put it in the skin to infuse. So you can do that. So we actually infuse that. Take it with you and your facial.[00:20:00]

Yeah, absolutely. And again, they're like personal trainers. If you think about it. You can go to a personal trainer like once every two weeks or once a month and expect to see results. It's the same thing. Yeah. It's about using growth factors diligently regularly that will yield you the best results and your background.

Also, just understanding the bio side of it all is like the whole thing. Look at what God gave you. Right. Okay, so. I have a million questions about a skincare routine and of course using growth factors. What would be your Looking at my skin? Mm-hmm. 45 years old. Currently in this moment, I'm wearing a lot of makeup under really crappy lights, but I have a very like detailed routine, but I kind of bounce around Right.

A lot. Right. Okay. A lot of my listeners are like 35 to 60, you know, or even 30 to 60. What would you be like. We've got growth factors. What would you be like, what are the most important steps? Even if it's like, you know, a guha or whatever. Oh yeah. What are your most important steps? I, I, I love that so much cause they the most important steps for skincare. Yeah. I do customize [00:21:00] routines for a lot of people.

So I can customize for you. Yeah. Oh, you want a MPM steps. You just follow. You will have the best skin. I need it. I will do whatever you tell me to do because your skin is extraordinary. Thank you. And tell me what to do.

So in the morning it's very important to protect your skin against like the pollution. 'cause you're living in New York and like the UV race, 'cause summer is coming. So I will mix vitamin C with growth factors. That's what I would do. Okay. And then I would use a peptide rich moisturizer. Mm-hmm. Which for your age groups, anyone who's looking for aging concerns, peptides are really kind of like.

Your best skin ally, and I'll use an SPF that you really, really love. So that's super, super important. And night is where we get to play with skin repair. So, because you're at 45 and you may start feeling as you get older, perimenopausal, I, I'm in Mepa, I'm like in, okay. I'm in menopause pretty much. Yeah.

So a lot of our, I've got HRT go and I've got some estrogen on my face. Great. Ama. Yes. Amazing. So a lot of our customers are starting to experience [00:22:00] perimenopausal symptoms earlier, like late thirties. Right. Which is quite early, which is in retrospect I was, I didn't even know because nobody's talking about it cause I did IVF late. Yeah. I like took all my eggs and was like, let's get rid of all of them.

Yeah, yeah. Correct. So I would say a night growth factor as always. Copper Tripeptide I love. We have a copper tripeptide repair serum that has a active ingredient called Saccharide Isom that has been shown in clinical studies to thicken the epidermis.

So your outside skin of perimenopausal and menopausal people. So that will help to thicken. 'cause that's really what we want as we age. The skin gets really thin and crappy. Yes, cre. Yeah. And then you know when you sleep right, it doesn't have to bounce back and maybe sometimes you get a pillow box. Yes.
It just happens. Yes. So this helps to balance it back and. Retinoids, like retinoids are so important. I use Retinol Ree, Retin A. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Perfect. So if you use that and that goes first, right? Correct. So I personally, if I use Retin A, I would do the serums first, and then I use the Retin A. Okay. And I would do like a great [00:23:00] rich peptide, rich moisturizer.

And I'll always fall out with a face oil. It is a non-negotiable for me to have face oil. A face oil. Mm-hmm. Simply because I don't, I, I think that word oil throws people off because people are like, oh, I used to have acne, or, I have really oily skin. I'm really afraid of oils. I think it'll break me out.

But actually, not all oils are created equal. I will never use coconut oil or avocado oil on my face or my body 'cause it just will break you out. You need to find oils that are naturally antibacterial and high in lic acid. So roasted oil. Black human oil, tomato oil, pomegranate oil. So we have a, do you have, you have an oil, yeah.

Yeah, we have an oil C 15, but Cchi oil is one of the, I think one of the world's most potent phase oil. 'cause it's super active. It's not just an oil, it's got a ton of active ingredients. 10% vitamin C, 5% vitamin E 1%. I gotta put that in my routine. Yeah, I mean, organize it. It helps to rejuvenate your skin cells and firm and brighten and get rid of dark spots.

All while giving the nourishing benefits of an oil. Oh my God, I'm so sold on this. Good. So we create like [00:24:00] supercharge formulations so that people don't feel like they have to use like 15 steps. Right. Right. I mean, and if you run right, nobody has that discipline. I appreciate that because I. I feel like then you're traveling and you've got like all your product, you know what I mean?

It's just like, it's like takes up your entire suitcase. Yeah. Like I like that You said put the peptides on before the retinol. Yeah. Put that serums first before the retinol. Okay. Because that's Or, or simply because I think you kind of want the serums to go first because you want the great active ingredients.
Like the girl copper. Don't lose trumpet to just go, go on first. Yeah. And then you kind of want a sandwich. The the Retin A, because it is a very strong product. It's Tretinoin. It's a really strong product.

So if you sandwich it between a serum, put it on, and you put it like a moisturizer and oil on top, then you just avoid the usual irritation or the dryness or the redness that you could get.

So you just have to sandwich that. Love this. Okay, love this. [00:25:00] And I think it that it is sort of a spiritual practice to give yourself these routines in the morning and night because it's. Such an extreme experience of self-care when you're looking in the mirror and you're nourishing your face. Mm.

Imagine saying like, course of miracles, daily lessons while you're doing it. Yeah, bet you do. Or just, you know, they, they talk about mirror work, right? Yeah. Telling yourself how brilliant you are and reminding yourself, not telling, reminding yourself how brilliant you are and how loved you are. So looking in the mirror.

Yeah. And putting on your growth serum, your allies of skin, a full routine and saying, I love you. I wanna remind you of how loved you are. Makes me wanna cry. Just saying this. Yeah. It's really overwhelming. Yeah. And I'm gonna take care of you. I mean, it's really right. It's so beautiful. I mean, it's so beautiful.

Mean, it's so simple. Yet we forget how much power that has So much power. Right. So much power. Yeah. But thank you for reminding me. I'm gonna, yeah. [00:26:00] Be more meaningful about and bring it into, I mean, the brand's already, that is the mission of the brand. Yeah. Oh God. I have so many more questions for you. How do you feel about lymphatic drainage with the product?

I love it. Okay. So for example, when we were in New York Fashion Week, a couple months ago, we did the Oscar de la show. So when we're backstage, we just used three products. 'cause the assignment that we got from the brand was. Glass skin, no makeup, makeup. Look. Okay. You know how, you know, it's, it's quite, I'd love to figure that out for myself.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I can, I can guarantee you. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So our assignment was to create those, like, you know, when the models wrote down the runway, it was all about the skin. 'cause again, the makeup was like supposed to be no makeup. Makeup. So we just used three products. We use our mist, which is anti evaporation.

So it's designed with a special water molecule that clings your skin cells instead of evaporating. Mm-hmm. So we have that, and then we have the growth factor serum. And then we have an oil that I mentioned and we had a special GU too that my facialist [00:27:00] Leanne, which I'm gonna introduce you to. She's the best.

And she made it by hand, so it's copper. Okay. Guha. And we were giving lymphatic drain aids and we were releasing fascia. A tension. Yeah. And you'll be surp, I think everybody knows this, but I think everybody thinks like a model's life is really glamorous. Mm. But they have so much trauma. Yeah. Like a lot of them, they really do sat down and they were like.

Yeah. And New York is a city that spits people out. Yeah. I mean, honestly. So nobody wanted to leave out Station 'cause we called it the Healing Station. We were not here to do skincare. Yeah. We were here to spread that light. It was the healing station. That's it. That's all we did. Yeah. You're blowing my mind as a human.

You're blowing my mind as a human. And then, yeah, I really need that because I carry so much of my trauma in my jaw and neck. Mm-hmm. And I've been trying to talk to it. I'm doing internal family systems therapy with it. Mm-hmm. I've got like full-blown jaw tension, definite stored trauma. I've been talking to my neck and my jaw doing [00:28:00] some somatic work with it.

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And. It's real. Yeah. Like it's the final frontier. You know? You could do all this. Beautiful work. And then oftentimes it's like affects our face when we have trauma. Yeah. Because it's so ingrained in the jaw and the neck. Yeah. So I've done a series of healing. I always say I have witches and healers all around the world.

I'm sure you do, but, but you're also kind of a witch and a healer. Yeah. And I know, I'm glad you know. So we, I have this healer. Her name is Linda, Dr. Linda Bashian, and she is a chiropractor. She actually, you know, used to travel with Tony Robbins and she'll fix his spine and she'll help him. You know, she's a woman that has the most amazing sense of self.

Mm. And I look at her and she's pure light. Mm. And I met her during Covid 'cause the body stores all the trauma. Crazy as, as we know, and stores everything. And I went to see her last August in Portugal, where she is based now and. [00:29:00] We had three days of healing sessions, just table sessions. And the whole purpose of it is to allow your, to your soul, to remember your soul, to go back to that source.

And I remember on the second day, I went to a this beautiful restaurant and I saw the most beautiful sunset of my life. And I was like taking a, you know, as we do, right, take videos, take photos. And I was like, why does that, why does it look so bad? Not, not like that. Mm-hmm. And then I realized, oh my God, we are the sunsets.

Yeah. Like our beauty cannot be captured in like a single video or. On a photo and I should just let go of this desire to look great and then like every shot. Right, right. Like let that go. And I, it was such a beautiful reminder of how we're all sunsets. I love you. Beauty cannot be captured in that like single shot, like, right.

So I, I, I had that big aha moment for me. But also when I left the night of the third day, I woke up at like 3 36 and my entire body was full of highs [00:30:00] and I. Get hives when I'm stressed. But this was a different Hi. 'cause it felt different. And at first I thought it was bit bucks, but it wasn't bit bucks cause you thank God in anyway and it went away. And then I text Linda and I said, Hey Linda, I feel really weird. Is this energetic cleansing? She said, it is. It's really powerful stuff leaving your body. And she says, it's not a surprise that your trauma will leave your through your skin. That's right.

Because your father burned you. You had infections and necrosis and it was really interesting for me to experience that. There is another healer that I'll introduce you to in la. His name is Jimmy Bluff and he is a painted at technology or painted at method where he basically releases trauma from the fascia tissues.

Oh my God. It's the three hour. Sign me up. It's the best three hour lasage you'll ever get in your life. And it's. You're transported to another dimension. Mm-hmm. You have a lot of release. After that massage, I had hives coming out. Yep. Yep. On my body as well. So there's a lot of energetic cleansing that that I really had to do.

Yeah. Super interesting because on the [00:31:00] same topic, I developed a lot of food allergies late last year, and I wasn't sure what was happening. Like I found myself not. Being able to eat rice or potatoes or gluten and basically, or carbs. And I was introduced to a breathwork healer who sees a lot of big names in LA and I saw him and I told him, I said, Hey, I started developing a lot of allergies.

I don't think I can eat carbs anymore. He was like, it's not carbs. You're an Asian person who is allergic to rice. You know how meticulous it sounds. Right? That's That's right. He said, it's because your father burned you for eating bread when you were nine, and your inner child doesn't know what's good curbs or bad cups.

Even though your life is perfect now we have to unlock your inner child. So what happened was we did, it was just three deep breaths. He did something. My soul left my body, it came back. I was convulsing. Yeah, literally convulsing. So we unlocked the inner chow. Yeah. And three weeks ago, when I was in LA and I saw him, he opened my solar plexus and I felt this.

Feeling of unconditional love. Yeah. And it was the most beautiful feeling. Mm-hmm. [00:32:00] So when you ask about what I do to like remind myself, those are what I go back to. You are on such a devotional path, my spiritual growth. It's the most important thing for you. Yes. It's so clear. Listen, and you're so young to have all this gifts, you know, it's like you have a whole redo on life.

It's really a resurrection, right? I'm a like, I can't even handle this. First of all, I need to get your full playbook for skincare, but also your Soul Care playbook. I need as well. I'm gonna follow everything you're doing because I'm really pleased to be able to be that light reflecting back for you right now.

Thank you. And what I'm hearing as I channel right now, what I'm hearing is the same level of care. For your skin is the same level of care for your soul that you've given yourself. And so that glow, literal glow is equal to the energetic glow. Yeah. Right. And you know, it's really interesting because what I really realized, especially being a beauty industry, especially working with a lot of [00:33:00] celebrities like we do, and it's really wonderful to be able to have that.

Organic celebrity love. But what I've also realized is that just because somebody looks perfect in real life or somebody looks like they have the perfect life on paper, doesn't mean that they're any less secure. No. Or fearful often. Less above. Far less. Yes. Ab Absolutely. That's what I really realized.

And the thing that I've also realized is. Physical beauty is nice 'cause we're, you know, we're human on, on this human journey. We want to look our best. We wanna feel our best, but like spiritual beauty, that, that shit the whole thing, that is the ultimate shit. That is the shit. When you have spiritual beauty, nothing matters.

If you think about what light is right, light is made of like, I. Many spectrums, right? And if you think about how a spectrum of light has like, you know, like a rainbow, it has that purple, it has that green, that red, that blue, all of that. That's what happens when, what I realized I. For me when I started chasing different colors.

Right. Be it like the career or the money [00:34:00] or like the physical beauty, you start feeling empty. Yes. 'cause you're not chasing the light. You need that wholeness. Mm-hmm. Which is really embracing your light and also your shadow. Yes. Yes. Yes. That's the part that being whole, because it's your wholeness that makes you so beautiful.

And it's also, it's not even your words, it's the energy, right? So it's like just hearing the resonance of the way that you're speaking about this is healing. Thank you. I'm telling you, it's like not that often lately that I've been in the presence of someone who's so integrated with their spiritual practice.

It's really heart opening for me. Thank you. And I reassuring, I feel like I was meant to be here on this Wednesday morning New York. I know that you were, without a doubt, when I was going through your worlds and taking you in and obviously using the product, I was like knowing that we'd be friends. Yeah.

You know what I mean? Yeah. Just knowing it. I'm quite proud of you too, because. [00:35:00] To be a founder in a business where you're raising so much capital for them being so fearless about your spiritual faith. Mm-hmm. Right. I mean, these days it's actually like not something that we have to hide anymore. Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm. But to run your business spiritually led is extraordinary. How has that served you? It's the only thing I know, because if you look at where I came from, I'm not supposed to be here ge. Like I. I had to put myself through college twice, and then I had to build everything from scratch and I had to overcome a lot of the adversities.

And I'll tell you this also, Bhutan was like a really spiritual place. 'cause I went in 2023 and on my birthday a what's your birthday? 30th. December. So Capricorn. Yeah. My best friends in Capricorn. I'm I'm, I'm a Scorpio. Awesome. 30th. December my guide took me to see this Buddhist master and he didn't know anything about me.

He had this like ancient text, right? Like numerology. So I give like my time. Birth and my date of birth, and he said, your fire. You [00:36:00] have fire all around you. I can see a blaze on your forehead. He says You can have anything and you're extremely powerful. You can have anything and everything you put in your mind.

But he says, be careful. Fire can also destroy. Stop destroying yourself. Mm. Let go of the past. Mm. Leave Bhutan a Freebird. He said that he knew nothing about me and he said, you have overcome all your obstacles in life already. That's what I see. And at that time, I didn't really. Get it. I didn't really fully understand, so I had to spend the last year like dating myself.

Like figuring out Yeah, yeah. Like who I was, what, what would fill my cup. Yeah. But not just in a physical state, but just on a spiritual state, like what it all meant. Yes. And then just letting go of the burden of self, as I mentioned, letting go of the burden of self. Yeah. I can't wait to give you my new book.

Self-Help. I would love that. It, I'll buy. I'll buy it. No, I want to buy, no, I give, I give, I give. I'm gonna send you a whole package of books, but this one is about a therapy called Internal Family Systems Therapy that helps you [00:37:00] align with that hard open self that you were describing. That you had in that healing.

Yeah. Yeah. And befriending the parts of ourselves that have been burdened. It's very spiritual practice. Doubt. I'm really excited. I'm, I'm so excited to give it to you. So you're gonna have to come back on the show. I would love that. We're gonna be best friends. I'm gonna see See you in a few weeks in la.

I know, and I really mean that. I'm not, I know. I mean that as well. Feel that. I feel like on a soul level, we met before. I love you. It's funny, my chief of staff, Jessica, who is helping us prepare for this, she said, you're gonna love him, but she's like, I feel like this is gonna be a really powerful conversation.

Wow. And she's also saying that, she's like, I think you guys are gonna really like each other. And here we are. Here we are. Here we are. Here we are. So, okay, so not only are you this extraordinary founder of this brand, allies of Skin that is going to really help with our, from revolutionizing the quality of our skin, but you're also this.

[00:38:00] Really love led founder. Mm-hmm. And whether you've ever self-identified as this, I'm going to claim it for you're a miracle worker. Thank you. And a spiritual teacher. Thank you. I see a book for you big time. I wanna help you with that. Yeah, yeah. We appreciate that. Yeah. Because it's a big book. It's transformational wisdom.

It's not just a story, it's like genuine wisdom and connection to God. It's really present. Thank you for seeing that. Because one of the, oh, I see you. That's one of the things. That I put it out there, but I guess I didn't really know the how and I just surrender it. So I guess, yeah, I'll, I'll get you a publisher today.

Like I have, I'll, I'll call Hay House tonight. I'm going to, I'm gonna call my publisher at Hay House if you're, and you don't have to write the book tomorrow, but Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm gonna call them because they're like the spiritual imprint at I'm Gonna Random House and they need this book. I appreciate that so much.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm also, I'm also ready and in a way it's also like I look at my life and I think. How beautiful it is to have full circle moments. Yeah. As I mentioned, I [00:39:00] was burned from a really young age in abuse, and we started working with people who have been on the receiving end of acid attacks.

Yeah. Or domestic violence. Yeah. So one of the people that we've worked with, it was very interesting because she participated in a campaign for all copper tripeptide serum, and we call this the campaign, and it's an always on campaign right now in my healing era. Yep. So that's what we did, and it did really well, and it caught the attention of a charity called Face Forward, which I mm-hmm.

Absolutely love. Mm-hmm. And they basically relocated her to LA and paid for $250,000 of life-changing surgeries. Wow. We taught Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. Wow. And we later found out it was her ex-husband that set her on fire. So there's a lot of pain. Yeah. And I had a chance to meet her last month.

Yeah. In LA 'cause that's where she lives now. And she's the most beautiful, most light filled person. Yeah. And I just thought, I always wonder it. What my life would be like if I didn't have like that 9-year-old burn burn mark. Yeah. Going through that. Yeah. Because [00:40:00] the scars, even though you know, you heal on your skin, it's the, it's the psychological scar that remain for years and yours.

That's right. I always wonder what my life would be like if I had great surgeons that could work on me. Right. But then I realized with her meeting her, I get to help somebody like that. That's right. That's right. So in a way, okay, I've been through a rock bottom and now I get to help somebody reclaim their light.

Yes. And I. What a blessing. What a blessing. So I'm very grateful, Nicolas. I love you. Yeah. I love you. I want everyone to, and only get more into your orbit from the skincare standpoint, but also follow you as a spiritual teacher because I really believe that's where we're going here and I'm also so grateful that we can give such a generous gift.
